North Bay Miami

North Bay purchased its first warehouse in Miami in June of 1995 to facilitate quick and efficient distribution of its imported fresh produce. In November of 2001, North Bay relocated to a larger facility with additional loading docks and improved cooling systems to accommodate growth and improve service.

The new warehouse offers seven loading docks that allow multiple trucks to load and unload simultaneously. It also features an extensive pallet racking system, cold and dry storage and two new forced air coolers that permit the cooling of an entire charter plane’s product (250,000 pounds) within eight hours of arrival. The facility provides warehousing services, including cooling and handling, for North Bay imported product as well as the product of other fresh produce companies. For more information, Contact Us.

North Bay Miami is located two miles from the Miami International Airport and within twenty miles of Port Everglades and the Port of Miami, providing it with access to daily service from Latin America and national LTL service throughout the U.S. and Canada. In-transit service to Canada and Europe is also available.

Michigan Apple Packers Cooperative

North Bay is a member of the Michigan Apple Packers Cooperative, Inc (MAP), located in Sparta, Michigan. MAP is a 42,500 square foot apple packing and storage facility, built in 1998 to consolidate the packing services of apple producers in western Michigan. The facility offers state of the art equipment that allows for better and more efficient processing, including an 85-brush waxing machine, four-lane electronic grader and electronic sorter. A key feature of the electronic grading system is an optical measuring devise that enables it to electronically recognize product shape and size. Apples are run through the line and graded electronically for size, shape and color. The sorter contains forty drops that allow simultaneous packing of trays, cells, tri-wall bins and multiple bag sizes.

North Bay field managers work closely with staff at MAP and the various farms in the Grand Rapids, Michigan area, to ensure proper handling and distribution of North Bay’s Michigan grown products. For more information, Contact Us.
