Apple Chutney

Easy-to-make, delicious apple chutney with diced apples, onion, red pepper, dried cherries, vinegar, brown sugar, cloves, and cinnamon, giving it a tangy, sweet, and spicy flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 tomato, chopped

  • 2 small onions, chopped

  • 2 North Bay Produce Apples, chopped with skin

  • 1/2 large red pepper, diced

  • 1/2 cup North Bay Produce Dried Cherries

  • 1 cup vinegar, white or champange

  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

  • 1 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

  • 1/2 tsp cloves

  • 1/2 tsp allspice

Directions

Step 1. 

Add all ingredients to a heavy bottom dutch oven. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for two hours, stirring occasionally until mixture is thickened and has a jam consistency.

Step 2. 

Pour into prepared jar(s), cool and refrigerate up to 2 months.
